Boys 8th Soccer
|Tohickon Middle School||1|
|Unami Middle School||1|
On Thursday afternoon, the Tohickon 8th Grade Boy Soccer hosted the Unami warriors in their 4th game of the season. The game started with Tohickon coming out strong and getting quite a few scoring opportunities. Despite being able to capitalize, the Golden Eagles were able to apply consistent offensive preasure. Unami eventually slowed Tohickon down and the final 10 minutes of the first half resulted in even play.
To start the second half, both teams struggled to maintain posession in the opposing teams zone. At the 50 minute mark, Unami lobbed the ball over the last Tohickon defender. A Unami striker ran onto it and was able to finish the breakaway, giving Unami a 1-0 lead. Not to be discouraged, the Golden Eagles kept battling and eventually were faulted in the Unami 18 with 3 minutes left in the game. This resulted in a PK, taken by Josh Martinez. Martinez burried the shot in the back of the net, and the game was tied 1-1. This is how the match would end, as Tohickon settled its second game in a row with a draw. The Golden Eagles record is now 1-1-2.
