On Wednesday afternoon, the Tohickon 8^th Grade Boys Soccer Team took on Holicong Middle School in their 3^rd game of the season. The Golden Eagles started strong with great midfield and defensive play, rarely allowing Holicong any scoring opportunities. In the 23^rd minute of the of the 1^st half, Josh Martinez was fouled inside the box and Tohickon was award with a PK (penalty kick).  Connor Wells took the PK, and his shot found the back of the net. The Golden Eagles took the 1-0 lead into halftime. To start the second half, the Eagles continued to play great soccer with many opportunities to score and the defense continued to shut Holicong down.  Late in the second half with 2 minutes left, Holicong ripped a shot from 25 yards out and found its way into the back of the net. They were able to tie the game 1-1 and the game ended that way. Despite the tie, the Eagles played their best game of the season and were lead by defenders Francis G, Quinn M, Kegan S, Ben F, Noah D, and Will M. Today, the Golden Eagles take on Unami at home, looking for their second win of the season.
